Free toolResize Image

Resize images online

Upload an image and type a new width or height. The aspect ratio is locked by default, so the other side is calculated for you, or scale the whole image by percent. Handy for shrinking photos for email, websites or upload forms with size limits. Resizing uses high-quality Lanczos resampling, so downsized images stay sharp.

Features

  • Pixels or percent

Set exact pixel dimensions or scale from 1% to 400%, with one-click 25%, 50% and 200%.

  • Aspect-ratio lock

Proportional by default so nothing gets stretched. Unlock it when you need an exact width and height.

  • GIFs keep moving

Resized animated GIFs keep every frame and their speed, great for avatars, stickers and web graphics.

  • Choose the output format

Same as the original by default, or save as JPG, PNG or WebP. HEIC becomes JPG by default.

Stored temporarily, deleted after 2 hours

Your image is used only for this edit. Originals and results are deleted automatically after 2 hours and download links work only for you. Date taken, camera model and GPS location are removed by default.

FAQ

Will enlarging an image make it sharper?
No detail is invented. You can enlarge up to 400% for small adjustments, but true sharpening needs a dedicated AI upscaler.
How do I resize a photo to the exact size a form requires?
Crop it to the target ratio with Crop Image first, then unlock the ratio here and enter the required width and height.
Does resizing lose quality?
Downsizing loses almost nothing. JPG and WebP output is re-encoded at high quality to avoid stacking compression loss.
How large can I go?
Up to 20,000 pixels per side and 120 megapixels in total. Above that the page warns you and the button is disabled.
